Advantages
Very French, and quiet. Very few queues, and easy to avoid queues once you knew where & when to ski. The mix of runs is good, and after heavy snow the variety was excellent. Probably not so good for beginners. Grooming was pretty good most days, the cold weather helped! Roads kept clear as ever in the Alps. Easy to get to Pra Loup and even better skiing there, but plan return in plenty of time(!) Luge was fun.
Inconveniences
Not many mountain restaurants to choose from, and we struggled to find good fondue anywhere in the town centre too. Queues to get lift pass due to only 1-2 windows available. The drive from Grenoble is not fast / convenient, last 3 hours lovely views / roads but s-l-o-w! Not very convenient bus link to other Allos ski area, unless you drive!
Good deals
Ski link to Pra Loups is easy and well worth the 5 Euros. Le Peguieou restaurant in Pra Loup was EXCELLENT! L'Altitude 2050 in La Foux was good value, fast, friendly, good food. Luge is worth a go, reasonable price too.

Absolutely stunning mountains, extremely reliable local creche and ski school for young children.
Inconveniences
Not very many green runs for beginners - but a great mix of blue and red runs.
Good deals
Local creche was very good value and well run.
